There’s a Whole Lot of Livin’
there’s a whole lot of livin’, i know
whole lot of lovin’, i know
whole lot of losin’, yet to go
the secrets always are revealed
as the midnight tries to steal
silly thoughts that try to heal
i don’t remember now so well
it started when we fell
i guess there ain’t that much to tell
we’re just raised in outer space
and the dark things that we trace
are simple poems that we call grace
i saw the moon too soon to set
i’ve seen the sunshine silent
these are things i won’t forget
i saw the signs, but i did’t read
the letters laughed and hid from me
now i will never know what they mean
i had a woman, she didn’t mind
i told her, that’s fine cause neither did i
i know she was lyin’ most all of the time
so i told her, take anything she could
carry away, i think she understood
that time she left, maybe for good

track 10 from Trevor Garrod’s “Strange Ode to Nature”
i call it, There’s a Whole Lot of Livin’ are there any live recordings of this one out there? does it have a name?
in my opinion, it is too good to be forgotten. :P
to me, it sort of has a for every lonely lady feel to it. (lyrically speaking, and without the peak)
