Strange Ode To Nature

Strange ode (to) nature
(He) made it out of clay
(He) showed it to his grandma
Just to see what she would say
Just to see what she would say

Strange ode to nature
(He) made it in the woods
(And/he) brought it to his doctor
Just to see if it was any good
The doctor just misunderstood

Strange ode to nature
(He) sent it through/in the mail
To his politician
And they threw him into jail
Yes the threw him into jail

Before he had to go
He put em in a jar near the window
Where they had room to grow
By sun or by the moon for ever more

does anyone know the chords to this/ the the organ solo chords in the middle?

  3. j0hn Says:

Clay, I’ll help ya out with the chords if you help me out with what the lyrics mean

I need to spend some more time working out the finer details, but this is very close. I tabbed it based on this video http://www.youtube.com/user/tr.....v5DXoYGXc8

    Intro they sometimes play: F C E A

    verse: Dm E A x3 C E A x 2

solo stays around A and Amaj7, then goes to Dm, then Dm/A

    then eventually goes to F C E A

Then back to verse Dm E A

John..thanks so much for getting back to me with the chords, I love this song. Lyrics are tough to dissect but my best guess would be that its about someone who finds a strong connection with nature and in turn distant and misunderstood from the real world. They could be very literal but I’m sure Trevor wrote them with deeper meaning.
