Snoop
Snoop Dog, why’d you stop puffin’?
My oh my, could not believe my eyes
When the paper read that you don’t get high
Could I be trippin’?
Straight-baking in the kitchen
Had your music pumping loud
And I’ll always be proud
To be a Snoop Dog fan
What happened my man?
Heard you smoked an ounce a day
Was the King of the J’s
High as hell for an interview, you’d never be fazed
With your braids tucked back and your eyes glazed
But now you don’t smoke!
And I’m having a fit
Scratching my head and not believing the shit
Pot smokers will never be the same
Now that you don’t represent the Herb Game
So what’s it gonna be? You or me?
To stimulate the minds of this weed family
Cuz nobody knows why you stopped puffin’.
I’m mad homey, I ain’t bluffin’!
Snooop Dog, why you don’t puff no more?
I used to dream about smoking a blunt with you
Now I gotta pick up the slack for two?
Snoop Dog, why you don’t puff no more?
I know that you got a family and kids
But my daddy’s still puffin’ and my daddy’s the shiz!
Come on Snoop.
I got your posters on my wall
Chronic smoke in your face
Got every single album that you did wit Dre
Got every High Times cover that you made
You can puff tough fa shizzle, my playa!
Now I’m gonna tell you a little story
Straight out tha box of the stoney category
It was ’93
I was a sophomore, see
But my family always puffed so I was into the weed
All them other kids in school just wouldn’t get high
Used to think I was a loser, wouldn’t give it a try
Then you blew up with Dre
What more can I say?
Every kid in my grade asking me for a J
From a rebel I rose
To a pimp in my clothes
Always cool on my dime-sack
The give and the go {~~check this line~~}
I was before my time
But it ain’t no crime
A few flows from you and the weed was fine
I still love what you do
I think you’re brilliant too
But you know that I want to get high with you!
This is my song just to prove my point
Don’t make me slap you in the face with a joint!
Snooop Dog, why you don’t puff no more?
I used to dream about smoking a blunt with you
Now I gotta pick up the slack for two? No!
Snoop Dog, why you don’t puff no more?
I know that you got a family and kids
But my daddy’s still puffin’ and my daddy’s the shiz!
My daddy’s the shiz, my daddy’s the shiz
My daddy’s the shiz, my daddy’s the shiz

Originally titled: “Gratefulsnoopphish” …really, although the online setlist says Snoop, the paper setlist from the show first time played displays the original title and continues for a few shows before getting cut short to the current title.
During it’s debut in Santa Cruz on 10-08-03 everyone went nuts, raising glasses and lighting up once Ben C. stepped up to the mic cause we heard a new beat and knew that we were getting the next installment of a Chambers cronic inducing groove. And yes, his dad really is the shizz!

“Snoop” was even listed as Gratefulsnoopphish on the original liner-notes of the Green Dream DVD. It came out right around the time they truncated the title.
Also, they played this song, in Austin I believe, on the same night Snoop Dog was doing a concert in town.

the song title and the song itself were shortened.
the first version, 10-08-03, has about 2.5 min of phishy/deadish intrumental play.
10-18-03 extended
11-22-03 extended
12-16-03 is the first show I can find where GSP turns into SNoop, that means chopped
07-15-04 is a nice variant, show closer, but the extra parts have yet to re-appear as I hear em’
