Reservoir

It’s midnight on the reservoir
Old bullfrog don’t croak no more
there’s a glow upon the hill
and everything’s unnaturally still

Is this the season of changes?

Someone’s gone, he’s gone away
(alternate line: someones song has gone away)
let them little fish sleep easier today
the fishermen are scared and they want to go
as the dragonflies are turnin’ into mosquitoes

Is this the season of changes?

So I said to my old friend Jim
casually I asked him
Jim have you learned to swim?
He said, man I just don’t know
but the water on that reservoir looks awfully cold

Is this the season of changes?
Is this the season of changes?
Is this the season of changes?
