Jezebel
I got to Jezebel
I’ve got a Jezebel
I’ve got a Jezebel
Down at the wishing well
Where I threw my coins
And she started toying
With me
Yes indeed
She gives me dirty love
She gives me dirty love
She gives me dirty love
That’s what I’m thinking of
And any better man
Would have understand
The dirt she’d do
You know I tried my best
I tried to pass the test
I tried to clean the mess
Left by all the rest
Of those who’ve come before, man
I knew they’d want some more and
And, that’s a plan
I really can’t stand
I couldn’t leave her there
I shouldn’t leave her there
Oh I wouldn’t leave her there
But I couldn’t bear
To take her from her dream
Dreamt by the Seventh King – - that’s love

In a Forum post in 2005, Flipper (aka Bip alias Josh Clark) wrote about the origins of Jezebel:
Actually it began with a picture that my friend Josh drew. It was called “Jacobs Garden”, from there many creatures emerged. The antagonist who has yet to reveal himself goes by the name of “qwali” and he quards a fountain which is a port hole to other such vagaries. In fact there was a song probably played live once or twice back in 1998 called “gwalis fountain”, not to be confused with “Jezebel” who resides at the wishing well. Hope that’s confusing enough for you.
