Glenda Loch
late last night bout half past three
I could not get back to sleep
I was fixin’ a figment of my fragmented mind
wrote a letter but I never sent it
I meant to I was the only one who read it
and I wonder why you never send letters to me
I wrote about that dream that kept reoccurring
about that time that we spent at Glenda Loch
from the … we rode into … we hitched awhile, walked the rest of the way
and we came onto the lake of Glenda Loch
and I say to you
do you want to go
to a place unlike any you’ve ever seen
and you say to me
all of this is lovely
and you thought you was never coming back
yeah yeah the mountains of Wicklow
that’s where your mind let go
on the lake of Glenda Loch
and the mountains of Wicklow
that’s where your mind let go
on the lake of Glenda Loch
came by way of a revelation
in the ….. heaven
like an apparition
my … is rising
in the county of Kildare
on the golf course growing there
that’s where I found them growing there
and I kissed everyone that we picked by the setting sun
and we dried it in the plate in my press
and it came by way of a revelation
in the ….. heaven
like an apparition
my … is rising
in the mountains of Wicklow
that’s where your mind let go
in the lake of Glenda Loch
in the county of Kildare
on the golf course of MonteClaire(?)
thats where I found them growing there
I’ve got 3,000 miles of country
I’ve got 3,000 miles of sea
between you and me
I’ve got 3,000 miles of country
I’ve got 3,000 miles of sea
between you and me
I’ve got 3,000 miles of country
I’ve got 3,000 miles of sea
and there ain’t no handsome book that’s gonna bury me
