Frere Jacque

Frere jacque, frere jacque,
Dormez vous? Dormez vous?
Sonnet le matinee, Sonnet le matinee,
Ding dong bell, Ding dong bell.

Translated from the French:
Brother Jack, brother jacque,
are you sleeping? are you sleeping?
It is already morning, It is already morning,
Ding dong bell, Ding dong bell.

Played as an instrumental jam by Tea Leaf Green

I use to sing this with my class in 1st grade. The way we sang this went:

“Are you sleeping, Are you sleeping,
    Brother John, Brother John,
Morning bells are ringing, Morning bells are ringing,
Ding dong ding, Ding dong ding.”

This was a curious little instrumental to throw in the mix, it made me laugh!
