A definite rarity, this song was first done acoustic as CBB (and is arguably best as an acoustic song). Really heartfelt lyrics from Trevor on two pretty serious topics – love and religion. It’s currently not on a studio recording, and perhaps it’s best that way. The live setting really leaves this song raw, which makes it all about the emotion of Trevor’s words, the piano, and some really nice accompanying work by the rest of the band.

Personal favorite version 2005-01-20 Cafe Du Nord acoustic.

The last three/four lines of this, the peak of the song, leave me almost speechless.
