Cry Baby

let’s have a good time baby
you know I work the night shift lately
and I don’t want to come home to ya cryin’ anymore

it’s not going to last forever
no matter how sly or clever
ya tell me you don’t love me anymore

oh don’t cry baby
baby please don’t cry
I won’t be there
to dry your eyes

though your lovin’ makes me humble
I’m often prone to stumble
oh there some many places where I got to lay my head

it’s just the hours I been workin’
I still like your homecookin’
can you blame me if I’m lookin’
for something that’ll make me laugh

oh don’t cry baby
baby please don’t cry
I won’t be there
to dry your eyes

if I wanted to hear crying
I guess that I’d start trying
to make a little baby of my very own

oh don’t cry baby
baby please don’t cry
I won’t be there
to dry your eyes

  1. Biscuits Says:

Played at Trevors June 2nd 2005 show at Cafe Du Nord. This song will probably never make it to the regular TLG rotation but perhaps we will hear it at a CBB show someday. As far as I know this was written by Trevor, if its a cover please let me know and I will correct the song credits.

  2. muck Says:

As far as I know, this is a Trevor original. It was in the magic spiral-bound notebook on the grand piano on June 2.
