7th Story

Seventh story, heavens window
there’s a shadows that’s been spread
and her eyes are looking down
catching the last rays of sunshine

The nights are getting cold here
and her mood is only patchwork
not much against this winters chill
oh, the darkness stands

Ghosts howling and midnight coyotes
are getting closer every night

At the top of the tower
Trapped seven stories up

{Solo}

If you cannot take it
if you cannot make it back home
the tower above is only a shadow
you hold out while you’re sleepin
wake up screamin
wanting it to fall

With the wind as a reason
sunlight four o clock
she’s been pulling electrical wires
didn’t pay the bill so she wouldn’t get shocked

So she can let her hair down
she will be pulling electrical wires
til someone comes to save her
she’ll be pulling electrical wires
all day long until she’s tired

At the top of a tower
Trapped seven stories up

At the top of a tower
Trapped seven stories

At the top a tower
Trapped seven stories

At the top of a tower
Trapped seven stories up

  1. Justin Says:

    If you cannot take it
if you cannot make it back home

*the power of love is only a shadow
you hold out while you’re sleepin
    wake up screamin
    wanting it more*

i dont think he is saying at the top of the tower in the last verse (or at least in the cafe Du Nord version I am listening too)
